First field test of the three-element expansion assembly was undertaken in November 2021
REED’s first field test of the 220-tonne expansion force tool took place March 23, 2020. After four expansions the tool was retrieved from the well intact and has done every time it has been run since that time
The safe pickup, laydown and deployment of REED has been perfected on many jobs in the past five years
These six expansions were performed in a single run. From the bottom up, note that even the fourth expansion was larger than the first three, and the sixth expansion with the same element still expanded the casing and compressed cement to help secure the seal
